Margaret is originally from St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador, where she completed both her Bachelor of Human Kinetics and Doctor of Medicine degrees at Memorial University.
Margaret chose orthopedic surgery because of the opportunity to care for a diverse and active patient population while working alongside collaborative, multidisciplinary healthcare teams. She feels especially grateful for the ability to help restore patients' function, mobility, and quality of life, and values the meaningful relationships that develop through caring for patients throughout their recovery.
Outside of medicine, Margaret enjoys spending as much time outdoors as possible. Whether playing volleyball, hiking, skiing, or exploring nature, staying active is an important part of her life. She also enjoy unwinding with creative hobbies such as knitting, painting, and drawing
