Dr. Connor R McGuire is originally from Prince Edward Island and completed his Bachelor of Science (honors biology) at St. Francis Xavier University and Master of Health Science (epidemiology specialization) at Lakehead University. He completed both his medical school and residency in plastic and reconstructive surgery at Dalhousie University. Following residency, Dr. McGuire pursued fellowship training in adult craniofacial surgery at the University of Toronto and aesthetic surgery at the New Zealand Institute of Plastic & Cosmetic Surgery in Auckland, New Zealand.
Dr. McGuire’s clinical interests include craniofacial trauma, aesthetic surgery, nasal reconstruction, cranioplasty, head and neck malignancy, and general plastic surgery. His research interests are systematic reviews and meta-analyses related to craniofacial outcomes, facial aesthetic surgery, patient safety, and medical education. Dr. McGuire is passionate about medical education and has founded several educational programs including the Surgical Exploration & Discovery program and the Residents as Mentors program.
