Dr. Jonathan Pinzon-Bedoya is an academic orthopaedic surgeon with advanced training in adult hip and knee arthroplasty, complex revision surgery, adult and pediatric musculoskeletal oncology, and endoprosthetic reconstruction.
Dr. Pinzon-Bedoya completed his medical education at Libre University in Cali, Colombia and his Orthopaedic Surgery residency at Zulia University.
He subsequently pursued extensive advanced fellowship training in Canada. From 2021 to 2023, he completed an Orthopedic Oncology and Arthroplasty Fellowship at McMaster University, followed by an Adult Hip and Knee Reconstruction Fellowship at Western University from 2023 to 2024. From 2024 to 2025, he completed a Musculoskeletal Tumor Surgery Fellowship at the University of Calgary, where his training included adult and pediatric musculoskeletal oncology and complex arthroplasty.
In 2026, he further expanded his surgical training through a Trauma, Foot & Ankle Fellowship at Western University and from 2025 to 2026 he completed his Master's Degree in Shoulder Surgery at Francisco de Vitoria University in Madrid, Spain.
His research interests include innovation in hip and knee arthroplasty, musculoskeletal oncology and the application of emerging technologies to improve orthopaedic care.
He believes that open communication, shared decision-making, and close collaboration with patients and their families are fundamental to achieving the best possible outcomes.
