Dr. Kristi Wood is an assistant professor of Orthopaedic Surgery, specializing in both General Pediatric Orthopaedic and Adult Upper Limb Surgery.
Dr. Wood completed a Master of Science in Biochemistry from Western University in London, Ontario then went on to complete her medical training also at Western. Her residency training in Orthopaedic Surgery was at the University of Ottawa. After graduating from her residency in 2016, Dr. Wood pursued fellowship training in Hand & Upper Limb Surgery at Western through the Roth|McFarlane Hand and Upper Limb Centre and a second fellowship in Pediatric Orthopaedic Surgery at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York.
Her research interests include clinical outcomes as well as medical education at all levels, ranging from trainees to continuing education for practicing physicians and allied health.
She sees patient care as a partnership between a doctor and patient and strives to keep this as a central part of her practice.
