Wafa is originally from Guelph, Ontario, where she earned her undergraduate degree in Biomedical Sciences before pursuing her medical degree at the University of Toronto. Wafa was drawn to General Surgery because of its diverse scope of practice, the interplay of technical skills with medicine, and the capacity to deliver care in acute settings. She is thankful to be at Queen’s because it provides residents well-rounded surgical experiences from exposure to a wide variety of surgical cases and subspecialty rotations. Even better, there are amazing and supportive people that are part of the program—both the residents and the faculty. Wafa is very excited to be in Kingston, a beautiful city with a perfect blend of city life and nature. In her spare time, Wafa enjoys travelling and spending time with friends and family.
