Shaun Lampen was born in South Africa and immigrated to Maple Ridge, British Columbia. He completed an undergraduate degree in Anatomy and Cell Biology at McGill, another undergraduate degree in Kinesiology, and his Medical Doctorate at Queen’s University. Shaun grew to love the idyllic nature of Kingston with its abundant green space and walkability. He was drawn to the hands-on nature of Orthopaedic Surgery after competing in sports like water polo, rowing, and spike ball. While studying at Queen’s he was able to appreciate the tight-knit group of residents and staff, as well as their desire to teach. In his spare time, he can be found at Musiikki enjoying local music acts or training to beat Dr. Mann’s weightlifting numbers.
