Alex was born and raised in LaSalle, a small town in Southwestern Ontario. Prior to moving to Kingston, he completed undergraduate and master’s degrees in Biochemistry as well as his MD at Western University. As a member of the Queen’s Orthopedic team he loves the close knit community, being able to work one on one with staff and the rehabilitating nature of orthopedics; taking particular interest in arthroplasty, trauma, and sports medicine. As an Orthopedic resident he can also be found on the rugby pitch supporting the Golden Gaels as a team doc for both Men’s and Women’s Varsity Rugby teams.
Outside of medicine he spends his time at any of the many unique restaurants and breweries Kingston has to offer or going for hikes and swims with his 2 dogs. You might also find him playing board games, mixing cocktails or having you over to try one of his latest culinary creations.
