
Dr. Fernando Diaz Dilernia
Dr. Diaz Dilernia completed his medical degree at Buenos Aires University in Argentina, followed by a residency in Orthopedics and Traumatology, and a Masters of Science and Clinical Fellowship in Adult Hip and Knee Reconstructive Surgery at Western University. Dr. Diaz Dilernia has also completed a Lower Extremity Reconstruction and Arthroplasty Fellowship at the University of Toronto. His research interests involve new therapeutics to treat periprosthetic joint infections and the outcomes of different implants and techniques.

Dr. Wesley Edmunds
Dr. Edmunds completed his medical school at the University of South Alabama College of Medicine and his residency in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Kentucky Medical Center. Following residency, Dr. Edmunds completed his fellowship in Reconstructive Microsurgery at the University of Toronto. Dr. Edmunds' clinical focus is predominantly Breast Reconstruction however he practices the full scope of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. His research interests include Quality Control and Patient Reported Outcome Measures, specifically for breast cancer reconstruction patients.

Dr. Ameer Farooq
Dr. Farooq completed his general surgery residency at the University of Calgary and colorectal surgery fellowship at St. Paul's Hospital in Vancouver, and has a Masters of Public Health from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. He is interested in surgical decision-making and minimally invasive techniques. Dr. Farooq is also the co-host ‘Cold Steel’, a podcast that features a wide range of topics for surgeons.

Dr. Andrew Giles
Dr. Giles completed his medical school at Queen’s University, his General Surgery Residency at McMaster University, and his Thoracic Surgery Residency at the University of Manitoba. He also obtained a Master of Public Health with a global health focus at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and completed his Advanced General Thoracic Surgery Fellowship at the Mayo Clinic. Dr. Giles’s research interests include perioperative outcomes, access to care, and global surgery. His clinical areas of focus are complex esophageal surgery and reconstruction, minimally invasive and robotic approaches, endoscopic ultrasound, and third-space endoscopy.

Dr. Linden Head
Dr. Head completed both his medical school and residency in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Ottawa. Following residency, he completed fellowship training in Hand and Upper Extremity Surgery at the University of Pittsburgh, as well as Orthoplastic and Limb Salvage Surgery at the University of Pennsylvania. He is currently pursuing a Master of Public Health in Epidemiology at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. Dr. Heads’s research interests are focused on hand, wrist, and reconstructive microsurgery.
