Dr Dimitri Petsikas is Division Chair, Cardiac Surgery and an Associate Professor of Surgery, Queen’s University. He is also a full-time attending staff member at Kingston Health Science Center. Dr Petsikas obtained his medical degree from McGill University. He went on to complete a residency in General Surgery at McGill University following which he undertook a Peripheral Vascular Surgery Fellowship at Loyola University Medical Center, Chicago, Illinois. He then trained as a Cardio-Thoracic Surgeon at the University of Ottawa. Dr Petsikas’ research interests include chronic pain post-cardiac surgery and optimal utilization of healthcare resources.
