Daniel Potter MD was born and raised in Calgary, Alberta. He completed his medical education at Queen’s University. During this, he became interested in General Surgery’s broad scope of practice and immediate ability to provide critical surgical intervention. In residency his interests have been directed towards critical illness, trauma, and acute care surgery. To further these interests, Daniel has begun additional training in Critical Care. Queen’s residency program provides a close-knit environment that facilitates interactions between residents, staff, allied health professionals and specialists that substantiates this multi-disciplinary learning. It is an excellent home outside of work with easy access to the lake, community restaurants and activities. Daniel’s personal interest include paddle boarding on the lake, soccer with KSSC, and spending time with his family, friends and dog.
